Hmm, posts with clickbait. Or pages with content that draws in.

What clickbait?
I do make content, although not much.

Clickbait as in a post with some big thing posted. That attracts people to the post, at least. Afterward, you can send requests to the peeps who bothered reading your post.

I know what clickbait is, but why did you think I made a clickbait?

Oh, I didn't mean you have clickbait. You asked about getting friends here, that's why.

Ah, ok then. But still, people come, they write a comment, and then they leave, I want people to stay.

Stay as in watch your NG page grow? Then you need fans.

There's a difference between fans and friends

Yes, but both fans and friends get notifs if you post some new content. Friends can be fans too.

But how do I get those friends? Because I can strike up a good conversation but then the other one just goes away (and I'm left alone yet again in my miserable corner of sadness and kazoo music)

Friends can be users who ask you or you request them. To get them, I guess that varies on the user. Some like to be friends with the popular people or maybe someone who can strike up a good convo on some topic. I don't really know, this is subjective stuff. To get them to stay is a whole other procedure that's more like on and off relationships with sparse specklings of interest and no real connection. Unless your friend is an avid fan or conversationalist. Kinda like how we've done this back and forth thing.

Ok, got another topic to talk about?

Hmm... have you been keeping up with the 2016 American presidential race?

Well Hillary seems like the lesser evil

Those elections make me feel like MY country's government is less stupid

Perhaps... This election strips bare the problems underlying the demagogue and the well-connected. It's not about merit but how many promises one makes or how well-connected one is.
You're in Israel right? How is it under Netanyahu?

Can't say it's horrible, Netanyahu knows how to keep the situation stable, yet still shitty.
As it is right now it looks like democracy is not needed anymore because he keeps getting elected. he scares people into voting to him and it works every time. As the people here grow more tired of him he seeks new ways to stay elected like blaming other people, going further into the right wing and giving yet more power to the Haredim who already monopolize our food production, marriage and even funerals.
I don't know what terrifies me more- seeing Israel (slowly and safely) decline under Netanyahu or he being defeated by someone else who will maybe make things even worse and convince people to never leave Netanyahu again.
well things aren't so shitty as I may have portrayed them in here but not many good things happen here.
Just throwing the Haredim out of the government will make a huge improvement.
Also it would be nice to see some prime minister trying to solve once and for all the problem with Gaza and the Palestinians, because Netanyahu seems to think that ignoring would fix it (Though for his defense it IS quite a complicated case)

So how is it going where you live?

Ah, of course. How different things would be if Rabin were alive ... Here in the [] I hate local jabber so I'm largely focusing on global matters. Can't tell you too much about my local news. What is your stance on the solution for Palestine?

There's a reason why no one fixed this problem yet. As it is today The Palestinians live either in Gaza or in Israel, in lands of their own from which they cannot exit mostly. A lot of them are allowed to work in Israel or live there though.
It may sound harsh, but giving them more freedom means that the Hamas can get more weapons and this might cause a war. Both sides have too many violent extremists so there is no way to mix the populations right now, the Palestinians need more exposure to the west, education, a totally different culture and less reasons to hate Israel, the building of settlements needs to stop, and we need to get rid of most Israeli extremists before anything can be done. then we will have to get an agreement with the Palestinian national authority to make a country for the Palestinians but there must be many limitations- the new government must be very strong and non democratic (last time they had a democratic government Hamas was chosen and they massacred tons of people to show dominance). Everything must be heavily regulated, especially trade, they must have functioning and strong police and Hamas must be illegal (they swore to massacre all of the Jews and take back all of Palestine so...)
If it goes well for about twenty years we can gradually give them more freedom until they are a fully independent country.

But all of this will never work and the situation won't be solved, at least for the next 50 years.

Why 50 years?

That's the amount of time it will take for most of the idiots nowadays to die, so maybe then we'll have a chance to change anything.

Idiots, from both sides? That's sound ... and by "we" is there anyone in particular right now in mind to lead the reforms in 50 years? Or will they be born? I thought eternal forces might work, but Israel is a special case.

Strong eternal (External? Internal?) forces might push Israel into making a half baked agreement that will not last a month.
There are many idiots in Israel who do not even try to understand the situation and just hate Arabs, but at least most of them do nothing about it. Most of the Palestinians are obviously pissed at Israel and can easily join the Hamas or make yet another terror attack on their own (It's now "trendy" for Palestinian youth to steal a knife from their parents and try to stab Jews https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Israeli%E2%80%93Palestinian_conflict_(2015%E2%80%93present)
Use the whole link, somehow it was cut but it still works)
And all of these violent idiots, they just keep multiplying.

Note that I'm not the sharpest politician, I don't really know what's best for Israel, I think that giving more working visas to Palestinians and improving their education system might help and will be a good investment for the future.
I don't really know any great Israeli politicians, most of them are very right winged and religious, compared to them Bibi is the lesser evil, and the lefties are not very rational, but I'd like to give them a chance, Yair Lapid and Isaac Herzog might be good.

Those are some familiar names in the paper. The children who throw rocks and assault Israeli troops are bred with nothing but hatred.
On a lighter note, have you bathed in the Dead Sea?

Yea, It's cool to float so easily but if you ever think about going there yourself I'd advise you not to have any kind of injury because it will sting, it'll sting like hell.
Also, it's hella hot in there.
That's why I never go outside.
This Pokemon Go thing got to Israel too and now the streets are crowded with people.
Fools.
There is no air conditioning outside.

Indeed. I'm an indoor person myself. Is it true you can't splash there, in the sea?

Can't splash in the dead sea? Why not? It's just salty water.

Oh, I thought that the water was too salty and splashing might risk getting it in someone's eye and it'd burn like hell.

It's like in a normal sea, but with more salt, it would definatelly hurt but most of the time you don't really get water in your eye

Got it. So, anything you want to talk about?

I don't have any good topics in mind right now

Maybe you could whistle with a whistle? :P Happy belated Birthday too!

Also: speak to people. :) Post in random places. Chat. Furums. Newsposts. This place is just PACKED with lonely souls. Potential paradox.

I do speak in the chat from time to time but there's not much time :\

Yeah, same here. Time's the one thing I never have enough of.

So much stuff I want to draw and create now, I just wish I could clone myself

Hah yeah, unfortunately all that research on human cloning probably takes a bit too much time to get started on. :) I do dream that the human lifespan might be drastically extended sometime during my lifetime... or rather, the aging process slowed down like. Feels like there's more I wish to accomplish than would be possible in the span of just one life, but I guess that's just a part of life. If it was the other way around it wouldn't be very exiting.

I'm kinda pro tests on humans(with caution, of course) because we're reaching the boundaries of our brains and there is still so much more to learn, the only way of us as a race to keep going forward is to make genetically modified super smart humans. It is achievable, but, well, illegal.

If only people could fear other things than science... REAL threats like, y'know, pollution, starvation, global warming, hatred, corruption, ignorance, and the list goes on.
But no, "them science guys will accidentally make an artificial intelligence that will try to exterminate our entire race! Because... We saw that in a movie! Open your eyes! We must stop science!"

Just imagine what we could discover with larger brains, damn, imagine what the art of these super smart humans would look like...

Wonder how much 'illegal' research is being pursued anyway. Military research, maybe? Better tests on humans than on animals, as long as test subjects are willing to participate in the experiment - they'd have the freedom of choice. I don't like genetic alterations in general, but it does seem like the only route if we really are to better our bodies, and force evolution.

Yeah, all those things that science could help get rid of! It is scary how science is being used though, in some areas. I mean: experiments with anti-matter, and artificial black holes?! Doesn't really feel like a safe topic to research. At least not on our planet surface. Simulations and all that's fine, but some practical research is pretty scary! As for AI, it's prone to abuse for sure, but feels like that's still a long way away. The science isn't the problem. People are.

Mmm the bigger brains we get, the bigger brains we can make for ourselves! :D

Well I did my research and as far as I understand scientists did not create any real black holes, only a ball of copper that traps microwaves and a helium thing that traps sound. both pretty cool but not real black holes. Plus I'm sure scientists will run some calculations and think about it before creating a black hole here :\
You can count on one hand the number of supercomputers that are more powerful than the human brain and each one of them takes a space bigger than a house (yet people are still so stupid sometimes)
Coding an AI stronger than the human brain, and one that can change itself on the run and adapt like the human brain is so hard it might be impossible
and will probably require some super smart humans to make (;

That's good to know. Sounds like... research on said area's a lot more limited than I was led to believe hmm. Well, I hope so! That seems logical, but considering what tests they've done with nuclear bombs, for example, I don't really hold the strongest faith in human caution.

Super smart humans do pop up occasionally. :) Hope they make the best of their potential!
